A lot of people blame Hollywood for the fact that women have an extremely twisted image of reality when it comes to men and relationships. I, however, have 15 very specific guys I can blame! They have given me hope that a man someday will say quotes from their lyrics to me, that he will love me forever and unconditionally, that I will melt his heart just by smiling at him and that he will care for my every need and always agree with me. That he will come running no matter what I’ve done or where I am. They all have individual names, of course, these 15 guys but you probably know them better if I just say: Westlife, Backstreet Boys and Boyzone. Do you have any idea how much I have loved you and trusted you my whole life, only to find out that most of what you sing about isn’t at all true???

I mean, if I have been taught since I was little girl that:
“If I had to run
If I had to crawl
If I had to swim a hundred rivers
Just to climb a thousand walls
Always know that I would find a way
To get to where you are
There's no place that far”
I am going to believe that he will at least call or come over!

Or if he tells me that:
”girl you leave me breathless,
But it's ok.
'Cause you are my survival,
Now hear me say.
I can't imagine life without your love.
And even forever don't seem like long enough.”
I kind of want him to at least notice me when I enter the room...

Or when we are apart that he would feel just as bad as I do, and like Nick Carter does when we explain it by saying:
"I tried to go on like I never knew you
I’m awake but my world is half asleep
I pray for this heart to be unbroken
But without you all I’m going to be is incomplete."

So thanks guys, thanks a lot for making this whole “love” thing so much harder than it needs to be! Like it wasn't hard enough aleady...
