What a night!!

Well, that’s that. The Eurovision Song Contest 2011 is finished, and what an exciting night it has been!!
Sweden got its highest placing since 1999 and ended up 3rd, only 1 point after Italy who in the very last voting skipped ahead of us. So Sweden, you almost made it to the top, but 3rd place with 45 countries competing that is pretty amazing! Way to go Eric Saade!

But seriously, AZERBAIJAN?! No, no, no, no! I mean they have been in the top 10 the past 4 years with all the help possible from Sweden, but really, winning with that song? Europe, what were you thinking? It was a cute song and it was a fun show but not good enough to win.

And ENGLAND??!! What the heck?? I called in like 7 times and we didn’t even give then one point and they ended up 11th?? Not ok, not ok at all!

Denmark, Hungary, France, Switzerland, Austria and Ukraine were some of my other favorites of the night. Some did good, and some (Switzerland) did not so good (they finished last).

But all in all, it was a GREAT show, a great year, with some great songs. See you next year ESC!
